Abstract

This paper focuses on the analysis of the phenomenon of implicit school dropout. It is investigated in the context of a doctoral research. A questionnaire (Batini & Bartolucci, 2016) was administered to a sample of 1097 students of lower and upper secondary schools to explore their opinions on school life and school dropout. They attend schools at risk in the Campania.

The paper presents a partial data analysis with particular attention to the items relating to teaching. The objective is twofold: on the one hand, to highlight the critical issues perceived by students; on the other, to outline proposals for improvement aimed at counteracting implicit dispersion. The analysis focuses on the identification of teaching strategies, capable of promoting long-life learning (UE, 1995) and the reform of school curricula.
