University tutor: an italian literature review

Abstract

The paper presents a scientific literature review, in the pedagogical area, about tutoring in the university environment, with the aim of providing a evidence base to promote the design of  tutors’ training courses. Starting from a scoping review that gathers papers published in italian journals rated in “Fascia A” by ANVUR for the competition sectors 11/D1 and 11/D2 with a focus on tutoring, related to careere guidance and drop-out in university environment, the papers documenting specific tutoring actions were analysed, which brought out some trasversal elements, considereted a fundamental basis for the definition of a university tutor’s skills profile.
