Abstract

The integration of exergames into physical education represents an innovative opportunity to enhance student engagement, motivation, and physical and psychological well-being. However, for these technological tools to be effectively utilized in schools, it is essential that teachers receive adequate training. This article explores the methodology used for teacher training, highlights the main limitations found in current training programs, and proposes recommendations to optimize the preparation of trainers. The Design-Based Research (DBR) methodology applied in this project demonstrates how a flexible and iterative approach can be employed to design training interventions that address the practical needs of the educational context.
