Le donne migranti tra (non)riconoscimento professionale e realizzazione personale

Abstract

This work aims to contribute to the study of female migrations and the conditions of migrant women who, once arrived at their destination with their own educational and professional past, are inevitably faced with the impossibility of getting their qualifications gained in their native contexts recognised in Italy (and EU): within this framework, the receiving societies – defined by their reception systems, national legislations and EU directives – form the backdrop of this article, whereas the protagonists are migrant women, equipped now with work experience, now with professional qualifications, and certainly with their life stories.
