Divario tra adulti altamente e poco-qualificati nelle professioni sanitarie e impatto sul benessere pubblico negli ospedali

Abstract
The essay presents the initial findings of an exploratory qualitative-quantitative study recently conducted in a public health organization in Apulia. The study aimed to investigate the dimensions of health professionals' self-perception of well-being and self-awareness of their own professional abilities, as well as the role of their value and symbolic universe. The survey results allow us to reflect on some emerging training needs that remain relatively unexplored in pedagogical knowledge, as well as on a current and apparent aporia: the gap between highly qualified and low-skilled adults in the health professions, which has a diversified impact on public wellbeing in hospitals. In particular, the study examines the discrepancy between highly- and low-skilled adults through the use of interview and focus group methodology. It also highlights deficiencies in the professional training, placement and adult continuing education system of the health professions, indicating a need for rapid renewal of educational programs to facilitate the acquisition of new and advanced skills for care.
