Montessori teachings: peculiarities of the educational model

Abstract
Teachers’ education, increasingly considered a priority for economic and social development, is recognized as a fundamental strategic factor by the European Commission and the OECD, included in the Europe 2020 goals and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. This paper presents an experience of teacher training in Montessori Teaching Differentiation Courses carried out by a Regional Association, in the three-year period 2020-2023 with the Opera Nazionale Montessori, a body accredited for Montessori Training by the Ministry of Education, University and Research. The goal is to describe a complex phenomenon such as teachers’ education by giving voice to the actors involved, through a qualitative-quantitative approach that aims to investigate in depth the Montessori educational context characterized by the experiences, experiences and practices of a group of teachers in training.
