Notes on teacher training.
Main Article Content
Abstract
In our country, an organic system of initial training for secondary school teachers has yet to be put in place. After the unjustified abolition of the Ssis (articulated on a two-year curriculum) by Minister Gelmini, school policy seems to have lost its compass, and has wandered through inadequate solutions: from one-year courses (in fact little more than semester-long: Tfa, Pas, Fit), to the minimalism of 24 Cfu to which Minister Bussetti had reduced it. In this contribution I intend to address the problem of initial teacher training in its general lines, without indicating specific and particular solutions. To this end, the essay is divided into two parts. In the first, I examine some general models of teacher training; in the second, I address the question of the idea of a teacher capable of giving a unified orientation to initial training.
