Service Learning for Physical Education Teacher Training: the cascade model

Abstract

This article, after a brief excursus on Service Learning and its application in EF teacher training, in line with the authors' previous works (Miatto, 2021; Miatto, & Maulini, 2021; Maulini, & Miatto, 2022), provides an analysis of the cascading service-learning model, currently used in international contexts for teacher training. This model lends itself to be experimented in the degree courses in Motor Sciences for the development of skills useful for teaching EF, which with law no. 234/2021 are also called upon to operate in primary schools and lay the foundations for the development of correct and healthy habits and lifestyles with a view to preventing and promoting wellbeing.
