For a natural approach to reading: intentional attunement to embodied motivation
Main Article Content
Abstract
The following contribution is originated from the need to identify new and more effective approaches to reading, and aims at stressing the bond between achievement of “personal paths” of reading and motivation on embodied basis. The idea of motivation provided with an embodied nature arises on the background of the current neuroscientific paradigm and it con-cerns the relation between the level of synaptic activation and the relevance of stimulation. It is assumed that the level of synaptic intensity is connected with the degree of accordance between the reader’s mind and the situations which have been narrated (or other configura-tions target). According to the reasoning deve-loped here, such concordance is an effect of the embodied simulation and causes the acti-vation of sympathetic paths at sensory and motor level (pre-representations which con-firm with); from this, motivational energy able to give “a meaning” to the reading process both during the early stage of learning as well as all life would spring.
