Abstract

Sport and physical exercise are essential factors in the prevention of illnesses and in the promotion and improvement of conditions for the well-being and quality of life of the community. This implies the implementation of educational actions through sport that require investigating the peculiarities and needs of the recipients and understanding what really happens during the sport educational process in order to be able to build intervention proposals that integrate the knowledge and techniques of sport sciences. It is therefore necessary to develop research skills in the training of sports professionals. This paper presents a reflection on the recent methodological approaches of research work in the sport-educational field and on the perspectives of training for the same in the degree courses in Sport and Motor Sciences, with particular reference to Mixed Methods Research and to the critical-reflexive component.
