Abstract

This study aims to investigate the post career experience in football and to identify effective transition resources through a qualitative investigation involving one of the greatest players in football history. The results of the research confirm that the end of a sports career represents a moment of disorientation and show the conviction that a sports career is incompatible with a school and/or training career. The research highlights the need to disseminate current dual career experiments and implement lifelong guidance actions as key resources for positive career transitions.
