Lessons from the past. What (didn't) work in teacher education? Building the future: emergencies from education research.

Abstract
The contribution traces the history of teacher training in the different school orders, offering a panorama of training models and education policies that have alternated over time. From the stratification that the different levels offer (basic, pre-service/initial and in-service training), the multidimensionality of the training offer for teachers can be deduced. This systemic vision is therefore placed on the horizon of training that involves teachers in their collegial organisation, assuming that the result of such training has a multiplicative effect, in order to organise multi- disciplinary and transversal interventions.
