Main Article Content
Abstract
The commitment of the universities should be aimed at mitigating the barriers of access and pathway for young refugees and migrants, who intend to start or complete a course of study. Aware of the importance of using ICT as an important tool for integration, a series of Free Digital Learning (FDL) initiatives have been launched at university level aimed at migrants and refugees to facilitate their integration, inclusion and learning. In this paper, after a brief review of the main FDL initiatives at university level, the "University for Refugees" initiative, presented by the International Telematic University UNINETTUNO, is presented to allow refugees and immigrants to enter the university to continue studies or enroll in qualification and retraining courses, also through the recognition of their previous careers and professional skills.
