Crisis in the Educational Profession: Reverse Mentoring as a Resource for residential cares for children and youth
Main Article Content
Abstract
The paper examines the growing difficulties faced by social-educational services in recruiting and retaining educators. The shortage appears to stem from two complementary dynamics: experienced professionals leaving the field and new hires struggling to remain, often overwhelmed by complex roles, limited professional recognition and unsustainable working conditions. Focusing on residential care for children and youth, the text argues for targeted action on internal organisational structures, strengthening continuing training, supervision and the overall professional climate. Promoting intergenerational communities of practice can foster integration between experience and innovation, thereby enhancing the quality of educational work and improving the services’ ability to ensure continuity and staff stability.
