  • The text complies with all the requirements of APA Style (7th edition).
  • The file is in Microsoft Word format.

  • None of the authors has published a contribution in the previous issue of the journal.

Reference format
Articles submitted to LLL must be prepared using and complying with the journal template (2026 update). The journal adopts the APA (American Psychological Association) style, seventh edition.

A brief guide to APA style in Italian is available at this link. The full version of the guide (in English) can be purchased at http://www.apastyle.org/.

Language of articles
Articles may be written in Italian or in British English.

Maximum length
Research articles: 40,000 characters. Research reports should follow the structure recommended by APA style.
Theoretical contributions: 30,000 characters.
Reviews: 9,000 characters.
Character limits include spaces. The length includes all components of the article (title, abstract, tables, references, etc.).

Files required for submission
To submit a proposal, two files must be prepared, one of which must be anonymised. Authors are strongly advised to write the article using the journal template.
Please note: submissions must be original and must not duplicate another article or any part thereof; they must not be included in a volume already published, nor in a volume scheduled for publication in the same year as the journal issue.

The reference list must be specific and include only works cited in the article.

Additional notes
At the time of submission, each author must declare that the article has not been published and must undertake not to submit it to other journals until a decision of acceptance or rejection by the anonymous reviewers has been communicated. This rule also applies to articles not subject to anonymous peer review, for which the editorial board decides on acceptance or rejection. The editorial board may also invite contributions from leading experts on a given topic; such submissions are designated as “invited articles”, and this status will be clearly indicated at the time of publication. Authors’ credits are not published, unless the authors hold political or institutional offices. Obvious typographical errors and minor deviations from editorial standards will be corrected by the editorial board. Articles that do not comply with the citation system and reference style will be rejected. Reviewers’ decisions are anonymous and final. Under no circumstances may articles be submitted by third parties; submissions must be sent to the editorial office directly by the author or authors.

In the event of a high number of submissions received for a single issue, the Journal reserves the right to consider some proposals for possible publication in subsequent issues.
