Abstract

The civil service, within the Third Sector, represents an important opportunity for education and personal growth for young people, who are an indispensable and vital resource for the country's cultural, social and economic progress. The law provides in particular for the promotion of education and certification of competences. However, the implementation of this provision, especially with regard to citizenship competences, requires system measures between the actors involved. In this regard, the contribution intends to present the results of the research which involved universities, the National Third Sector Forum, Arci Servizio Civile APS and national and local stakeholders. The importance of a reflective personalized service that accompanies young people in transforming the experience into meaningful competences is highlighted. Its actual realization is related to external organizational aspects and internal individual aspects.
